Coachmen screen door MOD

We did not like the OEM screen door, slide door. The little door always was left open because you had to slide it open to unlatch the screen or to close the door when connected to the main door. I installed the Lippert Components, Inc - Slider; Screen; Towable W/Knob #239061 & Camco 42183 RV Screen Door Cross Bar . The door panel now has a disc you push down to open screen door. The cross bar is really nice to pull the doors closed.

Our 12Flagstaff8528RKWS came with that center and I added a bar that we push and it unlatches the latch. Works good and is handy.

Our Sabre came with that disc type opener. Works great. On our previous Jayco TT I installed one of these: Screen Door Opener - Camco RV 43953 - Screen Doors - Camping World

We had the Camco openers on our Outback that I had installed. They worked good but the disc type are much better. Cheap too @ $16.00 / each

I tried to get one of these slider panels to install into our 2012 Grey Wolf, after seeing a friends 2012 Grey Wolf with the disc. I took measurements of each and found that ours is 12X12 and our friends was roughly 9 3/4X12. I called Lippert to order the slider panel with disk for ours and found out that they don't make a 12X12 panel with the disc, only the smaller one, but Lippert said that they could build me a screen door with the smaller panel so I could get the disc...

I then did some more research and found out that our 2012 TT is an early production 2012 and our friends 2012 is a later production, and Lippert changed the screen doors used in the Grey Wolf TTs about 1/2 way through the year.

Buy the small panel, remove the disc, mod your panel and install the disc in your existing panel and you have what you want.

I thought about that and almost order the small panel, but I want to look at one on our friends camper before I ordered it. Just to see how everything is put together and make sure that I can get it apart without breaking it.

The other option is for OC to go into the screen door push bar opener business like you did with the poles, then just buy from you again!
