Control Panel Light

I'm thinking of putting a light over my control panel.

Should look something like this;

I'm planning to add it to the "aisle" switch. I've noticed when it's dark you can not see the control panel without a flashlight, so I'm going to fix this.

Wanted to see what others think of this idea......

Same problem and on my 'to do' list. Number 28, I think.

Great idea. I'm also in the dark... How are you going to turn it on, or are you going to leave it on ? Is it battery operated?

Mike it could run on the battery.....but it'll be plugged in with the rest of the lights, so it'll be the only switch i'll have to hunt for in the dark.... or use the flashlight...... once we're plugged in this light can be turned on over the control panel or we can leave it on.... as long as we have power (electric or generator).....

Very Cool. It would be primo if connected to a remote.

I went to Wally world and in the auto department they had a small LED light that worked off of an eye. When it is dark and I open the door where my panel is located the light automatically comes on and stays on for 30 seconds. It runs on 3 AA batteries. I used velcro to tape it to the inside of the door and it works perfect for finding the switches when it is dark. I think the light was $10
