Countertops

Has anyone had issues with counter top water stains? If so, what did you do to resolve the problem? Our FR is just over one year old and the area around the kitchen sink looks terrible. Any water that comes in contact, leaves a ashen gray stain. Our unit is 15 months old. We have only been able to use it once. Counter was always cleaned and wiped after each use. discoloration occurs on contact. Factory warranty is out . Is there a sealer that can be used?

HHHmmm... sounds like water got under the counter top. Do you see any areas where it may have leaked?

all seems to be sealed very well. the problem is ,when ever anything with moister is sat on the counter top it leaves a ring. Doesn't seem to matter how quickly you wipe it up the ring remains and dries to a ash gray color. the counter top is brown. I think it's a formica top. thank you for your reply.

counter stains

Do you have really bad water? Might try a carbon filter at the faucet outside.

counter top

Forest River has agreed to replace the top. My dealer called last week to let me know. sometime in Oct. There's a 2 week fishing trip in my future!

Thanks for your replies.

We had the same issue with counter tops in the V-Lite bathroom. IIRC they actually returned to the original color after a while.

The OP is correct....as *soon* as a drop of water hit the counter top it turned grey.
