Curtain Modification

It's been a pain to keep the two halves of our main bedroom curtain together to keep the room dark while sleeping. Came up with a solution that should work well. The inside vertical hems are open from the bottom so we slid a simple magnet up each hem and my wife sewed them in place. Now the curtain stays closed but can be opened without any strain. Space a few sets of magnets if you want a little insurance.

I bought reflectix and cut it to window size for the bedroom windows. It's as dark at 10am as it is in the middle of the night with the added benefit of keeping the room cooler also. Learned this one from some folks that have a youtube channel and went to Alaska during the 20 hours of daylight, 4 hours of night time period and got tired of their internal clocks being messed up by all the daylight.
