Cushions fading/cracking vinyl

I moved the cushions on our U-shaped dinette so as to get to the under seat storage area, to find that the top of the back cushion fabric along the window is totally faded, and that the vinyl underside that attaches to it is cracked and starting to peel off. We know this is due to the sun, and the wooden blinds hover above the cushions and we can’t lower the blinds any more than they are or push them behind the cushion. So, to stop any further damage, for now I have a towel draped over the top of the cushion, but what do I do about the cracked/peeling vinyl issue that has already occurred? (this is my second post today - I'm on a roll!)
