Cutting board upgrade

Thought we would post this beautiful upgrade idea, and it has probably been discussed here somewhere else.

After purchasing our new 5th wheel, and dealing with the uninspired 1 piece plastic cover for the sink, we contacted Roger Grimes at Kennesaw Woodpecker to build a custom cutting board that would double as the new cover.

After a couple of emails and phone calls to discuss the details, we sent Roger the plastic cover as a template and he came up with this beauty. We have it built as a two piece board.

It fits nicely into the sink area, and we can use it for food prep and of course cocktails, while using the sink at the same time. It has some heft to it, and matches the decor nicely.

Roger said it was okay to post here on the forum, if anyone is interested in something similar. He has a wide variety of wood available for the best match of your kitchen decor.

We appreciate his handmade work, and thought we should share.

I lack counter space in my 5'er; this looks wonderful. When you have only one side covered, does it move around much? Is it stable enough to put a bowl on a mix the bowl's contents?

Thanks.
