D-ring floor mounts

I have a new 2509S and I’d like to store my generator in the “garage” space between the bunks and bathroom wall. Because the genset is heavy and has wheels, I’d like to secure it so it stays in place while traveling. The side walls are way too thin. I want to mount some sub-surface style d-rings and strap the genset down.

My question for those who may know. It looks like the black tank is mounted right in the area I want to mount the d-rings. Is there any space between the top of the tank and the underside of the floorboard? And if so, does anyone know much?

The floorboard is somewhat thick as I recall but I world prefer to bolt&nut them in rather than short lag bolts.

Any help or comments appreciated

If floorboard is thick, you could always recess the depth of the nut (nylon lock nut or locktite a regular nut) and cut off any remaining bolt threads flush. Remember to use a washer under the nut too - I like the larger diameter fender washers to more spread the load. If you have to remove the black tank to install, not like you will be frequently removing those D-rings once installed...
