D-Rings on back of motorhome

Just wondering if anyone else has considered or, have already added a few D-Rings on the back outside of your RV to use to strap various large items to?

I haven't yet added any but, I have thought that they would come in handy for when we need the portable dump tank or, maybe even for carrying the satellite TV dish back there.

I'm assuming if I do attempt this I want to make sure to hit something substantial in the wall and not just the skin.

Something about screwing holes in the back isn't appealing.
Maybe someone can tell me why this is as bad of an idea as it sounds.

Something light would probably be ok, but I wouldn't do it with anything that had much weight to it.
