DIY levelling block - Instructions Desired

Good day,

I called Bal company and they said their leveller will not work for my 12in tires without adding wooden blocks to them. So......

I went to the hardware store and bought a 1x6x8 pressure treated board and some screws.

I read a post recently where someone showed a picture of what they built. I could not find it today. Would someone mind posting a picture with some instructions on how to make it. Im more intersted in the lengths of the cuts to make it a three tierd platform. Im afraid I will make the each platform either too short or too long.

Ok so with no replies and no woodworking experience I gave it a go

Heres what I made. 3 lengths 30 in, 20 in, 10 in, screwed together with brass wood screws and 45 degree angle edges for the tires to roll onto it easier. I finished the top and sides with some deck stain I had in the garage.

I had a pair of leveling blocks very similar to this (they weren't coated with anything--just pressure treated wood). One just split down the middle recently and I'm debating on building another pair similar to yours (thanks for providing your specs) or buying the Lynx Level block system. I have a class c with "duallies" in the back and wasn't comfortable with the single level block.

Hopefully, you'll get a lot of use out of those levelers!

I got a set of those 'lego' type blocks for leveling the wheels and you can build up a tiered thing like you've done. the plastic hasn't split or cracked, is light weight and easy to clean and easy to store.
So far one 'kit' has been enough but I'm tempted to get a second one.

under the tires on the ground I put some chocks, then X-chocks between the wheels on both sides, then 4x4 PT blocks under the jacks/tounge (and they work for chocks in a pinch too)

I built a set similar to xavier's but decided to not attach the boards to each other. I made a jig and used it to drill two matching 1" holes in the shorter boards and a 1/2 board thickness hole in the longest one. A 1" dowel was cut into pieces that match the thickness of the boards and I can now easily change the height of the boards under each wheel.

When I use the blocks, I set them up for the appropriate heights, always using the longest boards, and slide them up against all of tires. All of the wheels end up at the tall end of the blocks at the same time.

I've got 2 sets of Lynx, and I've got 4 2x6x36 "ramps" that I can stack if I really need them. I left the 2x6 ramps separated so I could use them.

I used pressure treated 2" boards and didn't do anything to finish them. This wood is designed to be in contact with the ground and if there's any drainage where you're parked, won't be sitting in a puddle.

I have exactely the same thing. I have short dowels on the bottom piece too to hold it from slipping when I back on.

Never say never... There is a CG in our area that has blacktop sites and has banned plastic blocks on the ground. I guess they were cutting into the blacktop on hot days. So I use some pressure treated 2x12x12's to go under the plastic blocks...

x3. We have 3 sets. Much easier to zip them in their nylon carrying case and store them in outside storage then to have to find a place to store huge slabs of wood.
