Die grind hole larger so that the light just barely fits into hole you allmost have to snap it in.
Hot glue into place.

You can purchase replacement LED reverse light bulbs for trucks (plug n play)..from what I've seen, they light up like it's daylight outside!

Now what fun would that be?
Besides those 194 replacement leds are pretty cheesy.

Hmmm....when the cops are after me late at nite, I don't want them to see my plate number.
Nice mod, Ron.

Do a search or retro-solutions.net, there components are high end, same results as your mod (BTW good job).
FYI...I'm on the Duramax forum and looked over other forum members pics of before and after....very nice improvement

Thanks!
I figure what a great upgrade for backing up assistance.
Next mod is to get cargo light on without interior dome light on like my 05 .
It had a separate switch for cargo light the 08's is tied in with dome ..... duh!
If the interior light is on the glare doesn't allow you to see anything in the bed from the cab anyway.

Looks good!
I hadn't even noticed the outside cab light didn't have a switch. I have a spare headlight combo switch at work- Ill have to see if there is one on it. Should be a simple enough mod though.
