Doghouse Sound & Heat Mat, Tranny Cooler

Ordered and got some Cool It Thermo Tec Suppressor heat & sound mat for the doghouse in our 2012 Lexi. Friend of mine tried it on his 2006 and said it really does cut down on the heat at the bottom of the doghouse, and cuts sound down a bit. Bit-h to put in due to all the compound curves and angles, so I pieced it in and re-installed the original heat shield over it.
Also installed a Derale 40 row tranny cooler in place of the small 13 row Ford OE unit. Used a couple of small "L" brackets, and it just fit right in where the OE unit was. Hoses hooked right up.
Looking forward to our next trip to see how both work out.

What chassis did you install the cooler on? If a e450 or e350 what model did you get. Thanks.

Its on our 2012 Lexington, on the E-450 chassis.
Cooler is a Derale model # 54008, which is a 40 row stacked plate unit with 8 an fittings. Also needed the 8 an swivel fitting with the barbed end which happen to accept the stock Ford hose without any cutting.
