I've found that even on D1 it's hit and miss. Either way, I miss the old style Dometics. Would rather have a Coleman Mach right now.

That's odd to see John. We have the Coleman Mach stats in ours.

Weezer, how are the newer Coleman t-stats set up. I hadn't looked at the latest ones, but our 2012 tiffin had 2 Coleman's and the units / t-stats worked way better than the dometic.

I'll take a close up pic of them today and post it here for ya.

That way you can see all the pretty bells and whistles.

Thanks to al for your help. Not sure about Coleman but mine is working much better now. I changed to D1 stat is working within 1 deg now. No more on till i see icicles before it turns off or hot zones before the ac turns back on. After unit is running and cools tt down. On restart thw low speed fan comes on, no high speed fan needed. Thanks Doug

To change the thermostat temperature differential, do the following:
Press the "OFF" button to shut the thermostat off
Press AND Hold "MODE" and "+" until display shows "D2" or "D1"
Press "+" or "-" to display "D1"

According to the Dometic guy, the default setting is "D2" which is +/- 2* differential, "D1" is +/- 1* differential.

Thank you Rick! I will try this on our next trip out! Hopefully the dealer will have it back to me while I still need the A/C... LOL

Thanks Weezer. The digital one is the same type we had in our Tiffin, except they had the heat pump selection also.

So I have the analog version of the Coleman-Mach. Is it a simple replacement with the digital version?

Pretty much. I don't have the directions for the Mach t-stat conversion, but I know somebody on here does. A google search will always turn up something on both brands conversion to a digital. Only thing the digital won't do is multiple fan speeds, so you can either install a toggle to do so, or wire it for one speed or the other. In the case when we did that conversion several campers ago, it was high speed only.
