DRUM roll, the flooring replacement has began

Today i went to my favorite TOY store and go the flooring that is set to replace teh carpet in the RV.
i figured i would start with the smallest space, the slide for the computer and TV,
snapped a few before and after carpet removal, hopefully tomorrow i can get some of the new resilent vinyl stuff "allure" put down.
i am not sure if the Fireplace is going back in, i dont use it much and when i need some added heat i plug in a nice tower ceramic heater that flat cooks you in a few minutes.
oh i have a few AIR leaks to seal and some wiring tidying up, patch the alum material they stapled 1.3 million times to the wood sub floor

did i mention the staples, WOW talk about excessive

Nice.
Keep us updated on this. I looked at "Allure" at Home Depot awhile back.
I'd like to remove the carpet in the living area and install something like that.

we decided the fireplace is not going back in, so i have to go find two doors that blend well with the other cabinets, shouldnt be to hard its oak and prety standard

any WHOOOOO
got to work putting the stuff down
i did it backwards as suggest by the instructions so i wouldn't have a 2.5" strip at the end of the slide .
i stil have to put down some 1/4 round and reinstall the end caps on the lower trim.
but that wil wait till its all done, i found i will need a 4" piece of 3/4 material to trim between the slide floor and the main room floor
but heres a few works in progress
oh yeah this stuff is STICKY.

slow day and night
i did get the lower trim piece put in, thanks to my wife , she sanded it and stained t match the rest of the trim, including three "NEW" to us chairs, she stripped em down from ugly white paint to a very nice oak stain and new hardware, total cost for the chairs... less than 5 dollars including the stain and polyurethane.

hopefully tomorow the new doors come in and i get em put in.
i did get the 12 volt power removed from the dinette booth so i can start taking it apart this evening or in the morning.

just a few more pictures
the one of the carpet is in my opinion scary.
the part on the left is what was uner the table, the part on the right was under the dinette booth so it stayed clean.

its ALLURE by trafficmaster, do a search at hmedepot online under allure
its a neat prduct of thick resilent floating floor
the peices stick to each other and not the floor, so it floats and feels softer than normal hard flooring, it did add about 250 pounds, i dont know for sur eyet , i will go weigh the rig afte rits all done
i made the trim pieces today, they are getting coated as i type

floor is DONE

all done, except for a few short pieces of trim,
today i installed the lower slide seal plates and i am so pleased with the way it turned out
piant shp did a fantastic job of staining and finishing the seal plate covers
i used 1 1/4" brass #10 screws to attatch em, plus a nice foam air seal on the floor that seals up against the seal plate trim piece.
