Many of us don't camp in RV parks and often have no hookups.
Most RVs are designed to be self-contained, so they dont necessarily need hookups and not designed for full-time living.

I wish I could get it for that!

The last propane delivery at my house was like $3.29 per gallon. I only use it for Stove and water heater.

But you're getting it for $1.94. You just don't like $1.35 per gallon delivery fee.

All forms for Energy is dangerous if used incorrectly. I am sorry for Loss.
But I also know not using Electricity, Gas, Firewood, Coal, ECT even solar is not a great option. More Blankets?

Nope - suffocation risk!

As living has become "safer," we've all become more risk averse. Most people don't really have a good handle on risk. Risk = probability x consequences. They fixate on the consequences and not the probability. That's why casinos do so well.

I've always viewed risk as an opportunity to learn something?

Exactly!

Another way to phrase that is "Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

Risk and opportunity in the same sentence.

Or...

Whats the deference between running AC in summer or electric heat in the winter. Have not been to a camp ground during summer that charges extra for electric. Sounds like motel jacking up prices just just cause there is s special event in town. Later RJD

Never say never...

Campgrounds/RV parks charging for electricity is the next new thing...coming to a camping spot near you!

It probably varies greatly depending on the region and the individual campground. Here in the Northeast I'm sure there are some that charge for short stays, but I've never been to one. I have been to several that charge for seasonal sites or stays a month at a time though. I've also seen in at least one campground's rules list about possibly being charged if using AC or heat, but I've never seen it enforced.

One place I stayed at last summer south of Tucson charged for electricity for stays longer than two days.

They offered either a metered price or a $3.00/per day electric charge.

I was there for seven days and my experience with campground electric charges told me to take the $3.00/per day charge as the air was on all day every day (had to keep my kitties cool).
