What goes up when you hit the up button? The tongue or the jack leg?

I don't think my unit is labeled Up and Down either. I was referring to the top button as up and the lower button as down.

I'm not able to check on my unit and now I'm starting to second guess my reply. Please disregard my original feedback.

I have the same jack. When I move the toggle switch up , towards the up sticker, the tongue raises on the camper and the foot of the jack goes down. A little confusing at first but now I'm use to it.

On the Barker 3500, push the toggle switch in the direction you want the tongue to go. Lift UP, tongue goes UP. Press down, the tongue goes down. If memory serves me, you can take the cover off and rotate the toggle 180* if for some reason that process confuses you. Or you could always put a label on the power head.

I also have the Barker ViP3000...to anyone who also has this unit and has rotated the head: is it just a matter of loosening or removing those allen head bolts at the base of the power head/top of the shaft and turning the entire head, or is there more to it than that? Any advice would be appreciated.

Oh, and I put a 5-gallon bucket over all my trailer jacks (electric and manual) to keep water and contaminants out, then I just secure the bucket handle with the safety chains so it doesn't blow off.

Yes all you have to do is loosen the Allen bolts, rotate, then retighten bolts. Make sure to retighten really well, otherwise that head will spin once you start raising the tongue and putting torque on it.

Good Idea with the bucket. I will have to put one over my jack.
