Extreme lazy.
I'm my efforts of not doing anything...

The dealer installed a penguin 2 ac in my bedroom.

It has the controls on the unit itself.

I found dometic remote controls, but am not sure if there is a way to incorporate it into the unit.

Has anyone ever done this?

Roof top AC units are two piece units. One is roof unit which is the mechanical equipment ( compressor and blower), the other is the inside unit which is the control portion. To use a remote thermostat, you will most likely need a different inside unit. If this is a new install, ask the installer to order the remote compatible inside unit. Some dealers sell the components separately.

Kenny I just purchased the items you'll need from an eBay Rv overstock seller.
You'll need three items.
1) control unit
2) ceiling air defuser
3) wall thermostat

Why don't use a voice activated way to change the controls?

And it's way cheaper.

It makes her feel important. You can always say I could have spent good $$ on a remote but I thought I'd spend it on something else.
