Few Mods for new trailer

I posted my nice LED lighting already.

Made some nice leveling blocks. Can use 1 or 2 or 3. Drilled and installed big dowels. Made 2 sets.

Needed to pull my boat behind trailer. Ran trailer wire front of trailer to rear.

My GMC has the dual plug on truck. 7 and flat 4. Was going to use the flat 4 to plug boat wire in. Found out last minute you cant open both plugs at same time they hit each other

Calltrex,

Looks good. You might want to make up a couple of leveling blocks out of 1x8 also for those times when one 2x8 is not enough, and 2 2x8's are too much. All my leveling blocks are just like yours, without the dowels. I have two 1x8 blocks, they come in handy!

Why didn't you just tie into the junction box under the trailer that the TV's umbilical cord runs to? That's what I did to power the lights on my rear bike rack.

Calltrex,

Nice job on the mods. I guess that's what this thread was about.

You are correct, the Double/triple tow discussion has hidden the purpose of this thread. I've broken off that discussion to it's own thread (found here: http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ad-167053.html) so that this thread can stay focused on the modifications.

Where do you live? The only legal way to tandem in Canada is behind a 5th wheel with the hitch mounted to the frame.

He lives in Saskatchewan. Read the other thread that is linked in post #14. That’s already been discussed and we discovered that you’re not correct.

Actually, we only went over the regs for Ontario. Not sure about the other provinces.

Yes, but DMcGruther said “The only legal way to tandem in Canada is behind a 5th wheel with the hitch mounted to the frame” which, as I said, is not correct.
