You need one of these to hook to your hose to fill the fresh water tank. From Amazon.

Portable Water

We do not camp at full hook-up sites, electric only. We fill at the station upon arrival. As we camp I have 4 water jugs. I did lift and fill for years and now I place the water jug on my back bumper and fill with this portable water pump. I did have to make an extension clear water tube to reach (about 2 feet) from the pump to the fill on the RV. The pump takes 2 AA batteries and I use rechargeable batteries. I walk to a water spigot and fill the jugs and use the cart to walk back or drive and fill in my truck, but I have time and I enjoy the walk.

I just bought a new Shurflo 12V pump to replace the older model in my TT. I'll rig up the old one with alligator clips to connect to the TT's battery so I can pump from the 6 gal. water container on the ground or my tailgate. I have the same dolly as sonic2. With a bad back I need to get inventive because holding that jug up to drain it into the water fill is not happening anymore!

Edit: If you are buying a water pump, make sure it's rated for potable water if the water is going anywhere near your mouth.

https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1Q...xoi0dUjfqUJRMc I use a 2 wheel dolly to transport the water from the source to my trailer. Then I use gravity to transfer the water to my trailer.

I saw a guy that had a large water bladder on top of his suv. He filled the bladder then let gravity fill his camper. Seemed like it worked well if you had a roof rack on your vehicle.
