fireplace

We got our new Wildcat 312BHX in a few weeks ago and have already made a few changes but am think about adding a fireplace to the entertainment center. Mainly because the entertainment center is useless since it is so shallow, reworking the cabinet is no big deal since by trade I am a cabinet maker. But my question is what is a good shallow electric fireplace? Have looked all over the internet and cant find any real installation instructions that tell what kind of clearances are needed.

I retrofitted a fireplace in my entertainment center. My neighbour had a firplace that was purchased at Canadian Tire and was complete with a mantle. I removed the mantle and just used the fireplace to insert. It fit like a glove. Approx measurements were 20"W X 22"H X 8"D.

Something you may want to watch-we picked up new 5th wheel this past weekend and during the walk through they mentioned we couldn't use the fireplace unless we were hooked to a 50 amp service.

The fireplace doesnt draw any more amperage than a ceramic block heater that we used previously. I used both on one occasion last fall and I plugged the cermanic heater into the receptable at the next campsite.
