Flag Pole for a 5er ladder

Anyone out here on the forum have any good Ideas on how to make a flag pole and what materials are used and how to attach it to my ladder? It needs to be telescopic so I can raise and lower for traveling.
Any suggestions would be appreciated,, Thanks in advance

I used a length of PVC pipe which I bolted to the outside of the ladder. It doesn't telescope and uses a common 3x5 flag which I lift into the pipe going up two steps on the ladder. I think the cost was about $5.00.

I want to Thank all of you that have posted a response. You all have come up with some really clever ideas. I like the pics that Turbs had posted and I like the way it has attached to the ladder, looks really secure and can take on some pretty serious winds. My DW and I can't wait to get on the road... 29 days and counting to retirement !!!

I use stainless fishing rod holders from Walmart secured around the ladder rails with the secured bolts. $39 if I remember correctly. Then just use the regular flag pole and just sit it down in the holder.
