Flag Pole Mod

Threading the wire through the front of the 5th wheel was a challenge. Started with the flashlight at the base and let it shine the front of the RV but a little old ladyt asked if I could get it closer to the flag. She said it was tomuch light on the front of the RV. Moved the flashlight close to the flag but not sure it will stay that way. Light sensor on the flag side and continous power on the right side for just about anything...

Is that 110v or 12v? I wired mine 12v on a photo eye and plug it into the hitchpin junction box.

Mine is 110v. Ran a wire in the frame thru the front storage and into the side compartment, where their is a 110v TV outlet.

I looked at doing something like that, but I was afraid it would block the level.
I use a clamp on solar light now, but may revisit the permanent idea.

I welded a nut to a T made from tubing and remove the flag & light holder when we are towing.

I am always overwhelmed by fellow campers ingenuity. A friend built a no tangle flag pole from pvc and put it over a 36" rod in the ground with a two inch washer over it and used a solar powered spot light pointed straight up on the flag. It was placed about 6 feet away from the camper so no bright white reflection off the camper to bother your neighbors.

While up in grand Heaven, Mich. A fellow camper complained to our group that one of the lit flags was shining the front of the RV to much and made her feel like lighting was approaching. Takes all kinds to make a campout...

For once I'd like to hear when someone complained about something stupid, they'd just tell them "too bad, suck it up, ya whiner."

Smile Flag pole

The design is based on the size of flag you want to use. The pole from the ground up is about 36 then use a 45 degree y. In the up part of the y use a length long enough to fasten your size flag. On the down end of the y use a short for piece for balance. Put end caps to keep water out. Glue sections together but not all. Keep some Unglued so you can disassemble it for ease of storage. Being made of PVC you can easily make any custom modifications you want. Enjoy and happy camping.
