FOUND - More storage for A/V center

Looking at the A/V center in our Grey Wolf 26RL, I got to thinking (bad idea) and finally, a light came on and I was told to go to bed. Upon rising in the morning, I pushed out the L/R panel covers on either side of the radio DVD player and found empty spots! Empty??!? Why, I could put "stuff in there", so I moved the radio to the left and made a cherry filler to go to the right side of the radio and a filler plate to close off the radio wiring. After that was done, I made a shelf for the SAT receiver which I strapped to the shelf so it won't fly around and I was done. This only took me 3 days, as I took some time to go back and forth from the house and storage lot. I kept forgetting measurements, writing them down, forgetting the paper, getting tools, going back to get the tools I forgot...

Here it is. Finally.

John,

The enemy of those Concertone radios is heat. I would cut a fan hole in the smaller cabinet and install a large 12 volt computer fan and power it from a switch off the radio feed. Having the DVD shut down in the middle of a movie stinks...

Agreed, Herk -There is actually a little space at the top of the "small wall" and also at the bottom. I did put two "vent holes" in the bottom of the radio compartment as well. Good point though, I should have mentioned it in the write up. The radio is a Touch Audio - I really don't like it much, but it is the second one as the first (older model) started making a lot of noise when turned on. Replaced under warranty.

Won't say what today the D is for I'm already in the dog house..............

Nice set up I don't know why Grey Wolf didn't aleady do that.... sister company Puma has your set up & in the last couple years added a door to that area on our model.
