Free standing chairs?

I had my doubts about the chairs in the dineing room,it was confirmed after a friend sat in one of them! He is not a BIG person,he had all four legs of the chair on the floor,on the carpet area, when down he went! The SMALL(#6) ,SHORT(1-1/4) length pocket hole screws pulled out! The chairs are (NOT) glued at the screwed area either! So my (MOD) on the still under warr.chairs was Kreg Pocket Hole jig,to redrill the chairs for the longer&bigger(#8) screws. The #8 screws have a larger dia.head and will not go in the #6 factory holes! Glue all the wood at the joints. The chair he sat (DROPED) in was never used before. I took apart all (4) chairs and repaired . Yes I could take the chairs back to the dealer to ship to F/R for WARR.replacment. & get the SAME type chair back? No I will keep my stronger ones! Fuel to & from dealer (2) times to take them back 50$,screws,jig,4-1/2 inch square driver for the pocket screws, and glue 50$ Even deal, and I got to learn something! Youroo!!
