Mine is similar to the one shown here. It comes with a red wire that powers it. I found a "hot" wire on the back of the fridge that is accessable thru a removeable panel on the back of my FW.

You simply attach the provided wire to the hot one in the RV with a clip that is also provided with the fan.

The fan clips to the fins on the back of the fridge and when it is attached, it runs. When the fan is removed from the fins, it stops running.

Some have wired the fan thru the fridge door and some have wired it thru a separate switch.

There are many posts here regarding these fans also how to install them,

Yes to both questions. Fans on the inside keep the frig at an even temp.

What does everyone think of this one? It splices in somewhere behind the Fridge with the power wire going through the drip pan. I kind of like the not having wires dangling from the top of my fridge idea. Looks like a cleaner install to me, plus has two clips instead of one so less likely to get knocked off by my boys.http://www.ebay.com/itm/200831657441...84.m1423.l2649

Are you looking to make your fridge more efficient?
Here's a drawing of the fan/baffle mod that I've seen and am going to do in spring. I hope it helps.

What about those solar powered vent covers with a fan that I've seen in our local dealers catalogue- kind if like a cw catalogue.

They have a small percentage of air flow needed. Draw in milli amp , not 1-2 amps per OEM. They've come up here before. Cold make things worse if installed in natural draft duct exit by restriction.

That is the one I described in my post #21. The two clips hold it securely on the fin panel and it is easy to install - just find an accessable "hot" wire that is always "hot" when the fridge is on.

Don't expect a large fan if you order it - this one comes in a padded envelope and is very light - but as I said before, everything you need is included except a voltmeter for finding that "hot" wire.
