Thanks. 15/32 ply and 2x3s around the sides and front.
The three inch wide nightstands were worthless anyway, and with two dogs all the room we can get.

Neato. That slideout looks identical to the one in our 832IKBS. I need to take some measurements and get this done.

Mine was 73 and I think normal kings are 76. Original matress factory did it for me. Great prices on the matress itself then they charged $50 for the modification. They were done in less than a week. If you like foam, I found one on Walmart.com with radius corners.

Oh and fastening the 2x3 across the front to the existing deck stiffened the corners plenty. Just make sure you have the clearance when you put the slide in. I have cabinets it goes against and it was close.

I have the same trailer. Did yall rip up the carpet in the bedroom and put down vinyl? I can't stand the carpet in our trailer. It's garbage.

Wow I've been thinking of doing this same mod to my 831ress , as you said with 2 dogs it's tite , Dw afraid to turn me lose with a sawzall lol

Only carpet in mine is in the slides

Once you pull the thin ply panels off the nightstands the rest unscrews. All that I did can be removed and original put back.
