Furrion Wireless Observation System

I am considering purchasing a Furrion Wireless Observation System. The model # is FOS48TAPK-BL. Will this system really work and transmit a good picture from the back of our 38' fifth wheel to the truck cab. I am sooooo tired of being disappointed in products that do not perform like they are supposed to. I purchased a I-BAL camera system for hitching small trailers and it won't even give me a steady picture from the back of my truck to the cab. Is it worth buying this Furrion?

We purchased same unit last spring for our 38' travel trailer. It works flawlessly. I run it when traveling and have had no signal loss. Really nice for backing in tight spots.

We have the same unit and it works great on our 41' Cardinal. We've had an occasional "drop-out" but only on very crowded highways which I presume was radio frequency interference from some other source.

Works great on our 33' TT. Even has a good low light picture.

Nice to monitor behind the trailer while driving. Really nice for backing in tight spots.

Works great on a Full Profile 40 ft Heartland Bighorn! No signal issues! A good buy for sure!

I purchased the Furrion about 2 years ago and installed it on my Flagstaff Super Classic 831RESS which had been prewired by the factory. It continues to work flawlessly. I use it to keep aware of traffic behind me on the road and especially when backing, however, I would HIGHLY recommend you CONTINUE to have a person behind and advising/directing you when backing into a camping spot.

Ours has worked great since day one. No issues on a 35' 5er. They do have a repeater should you need one but I have never heard of anyone needing one.

Mine stays connected, given I'm not as long. It works for tight spots and to give you an idea of what's directly behind you. In traffic, I'd say they would have to be tailgating to properly see anyone. On mine, it's pointed more downward than panning behind me.

I just ordered an RV camera system from Tadibrothers.com. I'll install it on our trailer when it comes in and they guarantee it too work 75'. Price was about $215, lots better than the Furrion. It's not "plug and play" with the FR mount, but I'll figure it out.
