We replaced ours with a unit from Lowes. Much less expensive and built better IMO.
Just dont forget and leave a washer out like I did.

That is a good idea. I know someone else complained about that darn squeeking we seem to see in a lot of RV faucets, and shifting them out for an even cheaper set of household ones sounds like a smart idea. Are there any special hookup tips or does the existing connections work?

Transition fittings
What did you use to transition from the 3/8 copper stubbs on the house faucet to the plastic RV tubing? I thought about going with the house faucet but live a little far away from the supply house to trial and error on fittings.
Thanks

The one I purchased hooked right up to the existing trailer connections.
Was strictly a bolt in change and I left a washer out that made a mess.
But it was a bolt in change.
Took the trailer unit out and went to lowes with a smal tape measure and spent some time looking at the open displays.
It was a quick change.
Also did the same thing on my neighbors triler also last summer.

That sounds like a great mod. Any similar experience with bathroom facuets?
No help here on the bathroom. My playmor I changed was a different animal and had to have the rv type in the shower.

Replaced the bathroom sink faucet in my previous TT. Was a standard 4" fixture, center-to-center. Bolted right in.

ditto
home depot or lowes or fx worths
get a NICE faucet you like. most are standard size
and lots cheaper than at the rv store
remember if its marked RV or Marine its 3x the price and 1/3rd the quality in most cases

We bought ours at Lowes. Husand put on it five minutes, bolts right in.
Our kitchen faucet in our new 8315SS is fine, but I didn't like the white plastic one in the bathroom and put a brushed nickel faucet in it's place.
I also changed out all the plastic towel rings, soap dish, etc and replaced them with bushed nickel so everything would match.

Replacing Fuacet
I thought I would post my '2 cents worth' on TT faucets. I have had pop-ups, TT's, Motorhomes (2 of each type) from different makers and years...but, the common thing in all of them is CHEAP faucets. Now, I cannot speak for $100k + rigs, but the rest probably have the same items that need replaced ASAP from Lowes or similar stores.
Why? Well, we had our 2004-26DS out for it's first trip in the spring of 2006 (it was a dealer lot demo for about 1-1/2 years, and never saw a campground) and we had a mishap that could have caused more damage than it did, if my wife had not been there to stop it.
The bathroom sink faucet handle shot off and let gallons of water spray onto the floor and out into the kitchen. My wife reacted as quickly as possible and ran outside to turn the water off at the shutoff valve, on the post. It took a lot of towels to get the floor, cabinets and under the kitchen drawers relatively dry. We later bought a small wet/dry vac for all purpose cleaning and emergencies.
What happened? Well, the cheap faucets have cheap plastic parts and the compression ring under the knob merely cracked and allowed the knob to just pop off on its own while under constant water pressure...good faucets use metal or at least better quality parts. I replaced the kitchen faucet with a nice high neck one and put a laundry room-type (with removable hose fitting for the tip) for the bathroom sink. I merely check the shower, and outside shower faucets regularly for cracking.
This made for an interesting first outing...if my wife had not been there to react to the noise of the knob hitting the ceiling and the water pouring from under the door, we could have had hundreds of gallons of water flooding the trailer.
In addition to upgrading your faucets, you may want to turn off the main water connection if you are going to be away for a few hours.
