Hi,
This may be of interest to some of you who do not have a fixed generator in your RV.
Last year we had a generator box custom built for our 5th wheel trailer. We used it on our Yukon and Alaska trip last summer and it all works great.
First I extended (and added a second bumper) the bumper with 1/16 4 inch tubing. Then had the generator box built to fit our EF2400iSHC.
The box is made from aluminum and is fairly tough. It has air intake and exhaust vent to fit the generator.
I made up a 10ft cord to plug the generator in to the trailer.
If it rains I can still run the unit with the door half open.
The idea with this whole thing was to be able to run the unit from a fixed place. Now the wife can just go out and start it up, no moving or carrying it around. Works great.
