Getting the bounce out

This is one of my latest mods. I wanted a way to get rid of the bouncing that you would feel when some one would walk through the trailer. I had some stabilizer jacks that came on the trailer but were replace during another mod I was doing at the time. This turned out working great and I was very happy with it. Well worth the time.

Before.

During.
Drilled a hole through the 2x2 box tubing with a hole saw bit.

Made up the bracket, sand blasted and painted as much as possible to make it easier under the trailer.

I welded a piece of black wall pipe in the holes I drilled to act as a guide for the wrench and to reinforce the hole.

I then welded the pre made bracket in place under the trailer. I put the bracket up with the stabilizer in place to make sure the drive nut was centered in the hole through the box tubing. Did a few spot welds and than removed the stabilizers to finish the weld.

Once the bracket was in place and the painting was done I installed the jacks.

This is what it looks like with the jack down.

No, the jacks were on the trailer from the factory. I removed them to do a different mod and still had them laying around. I needed this type of jack to do this mod since I was going through the box tubing and need the drive to remain in the same place from top to bottom of travel.

You can also fine tune the side to side leveling of the trailer with them being attached in the manner in which I did.

f1100turbo I see you found me. I love modding.
