glowing steps

cheap and 1st mod 2day on my new trailer I put 3M photoluminescent tape on the front of my 3 steps and down the sides so they glow at night and also around the top and bottom of the grip on the assist handle and a small stip on the door handle

Have any pics?

Where did you get the tape?

Are you happy with the effect?

Same here. Ours are controlled by a switch that I inevitably forget to turn on!

PHEW....I was sure this was going to be some horror story about a fire to close to0 the steps or the steps coming loose in transit and dragging or something to that effect.

Put some led strip light in the cutout for the steps and put them on a dusk to dawn photoelectric eye and added some yellow phosphorescence tape on the edge of the 3 steps.

3-M makes a version of it called "Diamond Brite." It is what we spec'ed on our school buses when we bought them, before I retired from a school district. Lowes and Home Depot often carry something similar, but Diamond Brite is the brightest, most reflective we could ever find for buses.

Try one of the school bus distributors in your state...Blue Bird, Thomas or IC. They usually all carry it in stock, but Thomas also often uses another brand, not quite as reflective as the 3-M product.
