Goofy LED ribbon lights
My led lights have (5) sections of 3 leds that are out of sequence with the rest of the lights. When all the rest are white, red or anything but these 15 are blue. When they cycle to blue, they catch up until it goes to yellow and they go to blue. Weird. The 5 sections are not together, but at random places.

Can you set yours to not cycle and stay one color? I just purchased a set of Ebay and they haven't arrived yet, figure I will be leaving it on one color and hope for the best.

Yes, they will stay one color. It seems to have something to do with the red column of colors. Those 15 just don't like red. DW doesn't either, so no big problem.

Was it made in China? Maybe those 15 lights were made in Taiwan. They don't really like the Chinese but have to get along!

You know they were made in China and you are probably right that the 15 were made in Taiwan.

I have one LED set of one string that sometimes does not light red.
All other colors on that LED set work fine.
By pressing on the middle square LED, it will stay "fixed" for many days.
Then after a drive, the next time I use it it will be "broken" again.
It is a cold solder joint in that LED. It will be a PITA to fix (CAREFULLY cut through the rubber covering so as not to sever anything that could knock out the entire string down stream; Find the cold solder joint and re-solder it without melting or destroying the rest of the circuit; RTV the repair so it won't corrode or block the lights I just fixed.
So, since it is only one (it IS in the middle so I can't trim it out), I plan on living with it till I can't anymore. Then I plan to use an "off cut" to patch it in with some small hookup wire.
I am sure if I notify the sender he would make "good" with a new string, I just have not done so.

I had the same problem but with 4 LEDs. Pushing them did help but only for a few minutes. I started messing with the pin connecter. I cleaned it up with a pocket knife by just slightly scraping the pins(gently) and reaming the holes. Now it lights up almost always and if it doesn't I just press the pin connector together more. My first thought was a led connection problem but now I think it's a power issue at the pin connector. Something to try out first.

Herk, I think I know your problem. Which state are you in, a blue state or a red state?
You may be in a blue state! You may have to move.

Easier to just buy another 15' string and replace the whole string.
