Hand Rail Mod

I went to a rv show in my area a few weeks ago. Saw some new trailers with an elongated hand rail. It is made in America by the Stromberg Carlson people out of Michigan. I ordered it and installed in on my tt. It even states it works well with the "swing down" steps. It extends out an additional 10.5" and extends down an additional 13.5" from the original hand rail. First 2 pics are the before and the last 2 pics are the after. Sorry about the sideways pics.

That looks nice. My trailer is pretty tall with three steps and little kids have to go up a step or two before they can reach the handrail. That would also be nice as I get older even though I'm only 42 right now. Definitely not the same as when I was 21 even though my mind seems to think so.

The new hand rail has the same footprint as the original for mounting. No drilling any new screw holes. However, the original hand rail uses 2 screws per mounting pad and the new one uses 3 screws. I only used 2 screws per mounting pad. I did not want to drill a new hole for mounting. Age is mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter!

Thanks for posting. I didn't know these existed. Just ordered from Wal Mart for $32.30.

You need to get to shipping. Select other than 2 day delivery was $10 off total.
