Handy Propane Hose Extension
For those of you with RV's with the outside BBQ grill, we found a 10-foot gas hose extension.
When we saw the BBQ grill during our PDI, our first thought was, "Why would be run a gas BBQ right on the side of the camper?" We'd much rather put the BBQ grill on a table a ways away...and 10 feet is perfect!
Anyway, it's called "Camco 57282 10' Propane Quick-Connect Hose". We found one on Amazon.

I bought 2 at a local propane supplier, a 15' and a 30'.
All the flexibility in the world...just great.

Probably not OHSA approved but all I did was buy the male/female ends and Ace and use air hose line that I had. I had maybe $9.00 total in it. I just made is 20' so it very versatile.

I did the air-hose too, 50' of day glow yellow. I use as much is needed and leave the rest coiled up hanging from the awning bracket. I have a BBQ, Fire in a Can and a large burner for crab boil. I just switch between what I need and where I need it.

So tell me this, can I hook up my propane powered "Little Campfire" to the propane port on the side of my TT by simply replacing the Little Campfire hose with the one mentioned in the first post? Do I need a regulator on the hose or will the regulator on my TT tanks handle the duties?

I can't think of a reason it wouldn't work...we want one of those little campfires, too...a lot less smoke!!

Rick are you using a regulator between the TT propane connection and your grill? I would think that would redundant.

Yes, the propane us from the campers' which have a regulator.

Your tt propane system already has the regulator on.
All you do is adding an extra length of hose for your needs.
As long as your connections are the same...your in business !

My Little Red Campfire has a regulator on the hose, so I don't believe it will work.

Yes it does OC, but can I eliminate it and replace it with a quick coupler male end? Can I then hook that end  up to the female end that comes with the hose in the original post?

Too much trouble for me, I just bought a 15' hose with the ends already on them. I don't want to tie the campfire into the camper propane.

Campfire in a can is low pressure capable. Just tie it into the low pressure on the trailer. Seems using air hose is legal in the US, I priced a a propane extension here in Canada and 25 ft was close to 100 bucks.

Understood, I was just trying to avoid having to bring along an additional tank for the campfire. It's not that big of a deal I guess and with a dedicated tank you can place the campfire anywhere you want without being tethered to the rig. Thanks again guys.
