Our bedroom closet is across the rear of the RV as well, as said earlier, my wife reversed the hangers, so the open end faces toward the front of the RV. Clothes stay on the rod. Good luck

My hanger 'rod' is a pressed sheet steel angle with shaped holes that prevent hangers from jumping out. You could make one out of punched aluminium. Just make the holes small enough for you to manouver the hanger in and out. There shouldn't be enough slack space that allows the hanger to jump out of the hole.

try these hangers - Tri-Lynx 1200W Lynx Stay-Put Hanger Set of 6 from Amazon, CW used to sell them but stopped for some reason. They literally "snap" over the hanger rod and do not come off while traveling., We have been using this for 15 years and they WORK! No more clothes on the floor

We had a front bedroom/closet on our Columbus and that was a regular occurrence when we traveled. Now with our Cardinal (same front bedroom/closet) it hasn't happened in 10 months we've owned the Cardinal - yet the floorplan and layout is pretty much the same.

One big change that possibly would account for it - we pull the Cardinal with a dually, so far less bounce going down the road over our F-250 with Firestone air bags.

X2. We had that problem, too. I put a snap swivel on my cord (just because I had one laying around). We unhook the cord (and leave it hanging at the other end) when parked so there's no interference and hook it up when moving. (Hooking/unhooking isn't really necessary but - - - hey - - - I added the swivel so I'm gonna use it. ) No more clothes laying in heaps when we stop.

P.S. We have never had this problem with the closets at the front of the trailer. Must be why my sister hates their rear kitchen model. She says she has to completely redo the cabinets every time they stop.

Looks like a lot of good solutions. Wish I'd heard those earlier. However, a few years ago I bought some of those special RV hangers that have a smaller hook that grips the rod. It worked for us. Still, your other solutions sound simpler and cheaper. Great ideas.

Without clothes, I am NOT light!!

I assume this problem is with traditional wire hangers???? We throw those away and use the plastic hangers we buy at Walmart. Never had any clothes fall off of them yet.

There's a new one, too. That's where the stationary 2008 Cherokee 38P lives.

Happiness is not having to decide what to pack.

Or wear.
