I just hung 4 items in our 26RL yesterday. I used the anchors below. Picked them up at our local hardware store. I used the short anchors, but for a couple of thicker décor pieces, I used the screws out of the longer ones with the short anchors. Our walls are basically like cheap 1970's paneling. Maybe 1/8 or 3/16 thick. The exterior should be 2 x 2's which is 1 1/2" thick studs. The drill goes through really quick with little effort. If you are careful drilling the holes you have nothing to worry about.

Used the short screws on this one.
