Has anyone added a bidet to their travel trailer?

A few months ago, I added one of these to my master bathroom

https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Ne...dp/B00A0RHSJO/

It has been amazing. Hemorrhoids have gone away entirely. Squeeky clean just out of the shower butt, even if you aren't just out of the shower.

I'd like to put one in my camper.

Has anyone added one of these to the standard small size camper toilet? I'd be interested in hearing if it fit and how well it worked?

Thanks!

The water coming out of the faucet is sometimes so cold it will crack your teeth. Hate to think what it would be like on the other end.

Recently saw a post where someone put in an electric version, heats the water. Other posters had similar responses to the replies here...
I think the electric version was a couple hundred bucks though.

If you looked at the link that I posted, you would see the one that I purchased for my home just connects to the cold water line. I have no issue with it.

People are closed minded, it seems. It works well for me and my wife. I'd rather use water to clean with then just smear everything around with paper.

There are a great many things that each of us do. That doesn't mean that I want to have a public discussion about those things. One has nothing to do with the other. I'm glad that you're comfortable discussing intimate bathroom rituals with a bunch of strangers. That must be liberating, indeed. As for me, I'll probably keep certain details about myself private.

All in fun...it's raining and cold, rig is up for the winter, no NASCAR, and football game dosen't start for another 2 hours.

Save some tp, but fill the black tank twice as fast. I guess if you always have full hook ups. Still, if you know how to add one at home, surely you could figure out how to do it in the TT. Let’s face it, not a common mod.

Maybe his "problem" just shrunk from the cold water.

Rather than a Bidet I'd just look into one of those Japanese toilet seats that sprays warm water, warm air, plays relaxing music, and has soft lighting so you can see where you are "going" in the middle of the night.

BTW, this discussion just shows how far we have evolved since the early days of camping. Talking about bidets, etc rather than what natural growth makes the best substitute for TP and how deep the hole should be.

Back in the day, camping was when everyone dressed like homeless and went out to live in the woods for a week. A "War Surplus" tent (that stunk from the anti-mildew/waterproofing agent), a couple tarps, some sleeping bags, a coleman stove and lantern, and a metal cooler that usually got sunk in the creek to keep the Milk, Meat, Eggs, and Beer cold. Cookware usually consisted of a metal coffee pot, a huge cast iron skillet, and a pot filled with water and balanced on a rock at the edge of the fire pit so you had warm water for washing. On cold nights everyone fought over who got to have the dog sleep next to them.

No peeing in the creek upstream of camp and all baths were taken downstream (if one actually did so). When you got home you smelled like you slept in a smokehouse and the bath water/shower turned brown for the first 5 minutes.

My, how far we've come. Somehow the term "Camping" just doesn't have the same feeling as it had "back in the day".

Lights!!! Don't need no stinking lights!!!
I painted a bullseye on the bottom of the pottie so I can hit the mark every time, even in the dark.
Standing up, well thats another matter. Lighting is definately needed.

Well,I thought the OP had a good question.....The one thing I miss the most when I'm traveling is the Bidet back home. I too have thought whether or not one could be used with a RV toilet.

If you haven't tried one your missing out....and no,cold water is not a problem although mine has a warm water option.
