My wife can sometimes work from the road when traveling and that extends our vacation. I also have some chronic pain issues so I am up at strange times and bring a laptop or iPad to watch movies on so I don't wake un the DW. I also bring a nice camera and some other things that I don not want to have to take with me every time I leave the rv.

So far haven't done this but work with criminals every day and have found that if they want it nothing will stop them from getting it. If you are going to add one of these make it hidden, not just in a closet, if not they will just rip up more to get it out.

It's what I was thinking.^^^^^
At the very least, have it mounted to the floor somewhere, so it couldn't be easily accessed, and camouflage it as well.
Even if there isn't anything in it, the thugs that steal, are going to just know, its full of gold. One of the first things people who own boats learn, is if you lock the door, you get to fix that as well. Just a thought. Not saying leave the door unlocked on your camper, but that if a thief gets inside, he/she is more then willing to tear stuff up to get what they think has value.
Spend some time looking around in your camper. There's bound to be someplace that can have a fake panel or something placed over it.
As far as handguns, they make some real nice floor safes for under car seats, that are worth considering, for those times when you don't want to carry it, or have to leave it unattended.

Given that the most valuable things we own are the 5'r and truck, I have nothing left of any valuable to put in the safe.... Perhaps our passports but that doesn't seem worth the effort...

Has anyone added a safe?

Will get one as soon as we have something worth more than the safe to put in it.
