Here's how I found a stud..
I wanted to mount a TV some time ago in my TT and wasn't sure how to find studs and wires. Sooo, I borrowed an Infra Red camera from work and aimed it on the wall. I loaded the outlets in the area with some heaters or something. I looked around and there are the studs. The white vertical lines are the studs. The one on the left is at a wallboard joint, that one was obvious, but the other puzzled me. Here I discovered that I have a double wall, where the outside studs are not connected in anyway to the inside walls. I did confirm this with my bore-scope that I bought at a later time.
The round object is a clock, and you can see the corner of a cabinet in the upper right.

In your case this won't help, but I was outside early one morning before the dew burnt off, and while looking down the side of my camper, I could see the outline of every stud and cross brace in the wall. I have a pretty good stud finder also, that will detect the edges of studs and electrical wires. Never noticed the "dew effect" before though.

yeh, my intent was to trace the power cables so I wouldn't drill into one. I also wanted to "see" what else might be there. My stud finder showed the stud against the inside wall, but gave me an error at the spot where the "outside" stud is located. The camera helped me determine what was back there.
The FLIR camera is a neat tool for evaluating your heat loss on your home too.
Oh, at night, you can find those darn critters creeping around your garden too. makes it easy to stop veggie damage....if you get my drift

Not so sure about that...
More than one person has told me I was "way out there..."

Do the campers with the laminated sidewalls even have studs. I have a 2304S in which I added shelves to the kitchen cabinets and could not seem to find a stud so I just screwed them to the wall. They are holding up well.

I wouldn't know, but i know how to find out. The IR camera sees all just kidding, I'd like to know about laminated walls too.
