How did I spend Mother's Day?

Modifying my Roo

You know how as you spend time in your camper, you realize what works and what doesn't? Well, that's pretty much where I'm at:

1 I remembered seeing some nice shelving someone designed and installed under the bathroom sink so I did that (with help from DH). Which freed up some of my medicine cabinet ~ yay ~ Does anyone know where I can get the mini size dixie cup holder for the 2 oz cups? I can't seem to find it anywhere......

2 We have been quite aggravated with the attempt at showering with the ridiculous "soap holders" built into the shower walls. You might as well just drop it on your foot and call it a day! Anyway, we were up at LazyDays this weekend and frequented Camper's World more than we should have...... LOL, got some cool stuff tho Like the Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap dispenser in the shower.

3 I have been frustrated with how much stuff moves around in the camper so I installed some screws inside the pantry and used itty bitty bungies to keep stuff in.

4 I realized the configuration of my two pantries/closets wasn't really working and most of my food stuff was working its way back to the pantry in the kitchen, so!!!! I cleaned out both and did some re-organizing there. Much better. Oh, and I finally got and installed a paper towel holder ~ such a small thing but so very nice to have....

5 I also straightened up the linens and put in beach towels as beach season is here ~~~ yay ~~~

I discovered it is easier to put linens in the above bunk storage shelving than cram it all in the dinette, so I did that as well and washed all the towels and linens and put them away. I'm practically ready for the next big event

Hope you guys have had a good weekend~~~

PS I don't know why some pix come out vertical and some don't. It's enough to drive me to drink! Then when I rotate them to the correct orientation, they change back at will, ugh. sorry for the neck strain.....

Oh, I forgot, I also got this gizmo to hang up wet stuff. It is triangular so it fits
reasonably well in the shower.

are you looking for the Dixie cup holder on the wall or on the counter? if it is the counter one, you can get it Walmart or most grocery stores. They typically are in the paper cup section with some cups already in them.

Nice job on the mods by the way. I spent yesterday working on the TT with Dh and today doing stuff around the house. I think I would have been happier working on the TT today.

Nice mods. How does the shampoo and soap holder stick to the wall?
With screws or tape?
Do you like it?

Awesome Mods! Great organizational and travel ideas!
I started the day at a cozy pancake breakfast then went fast to work digging up grass where I want flower boxes. Gotter done, but it was freaking cold here...going down to 29 tonight. Sheesh! Happy Mothers' Day!

We spent first night of the season in Camp Driveway last night. Was a chilly 22 when I got up this morning, but the electric blanket and elec. heater kept it nice and cozy. Spent most of the day stocking the camper and organizing for the summer. Perfect Mothers Day! DS called and I told him summer wasn't here so I was starting without it!

Sorry to hear about the cold weather, I delivered gifts today for mothers and when I got back in the Tundra the outside temp showed 100 degrees (Brentwood, CA). The one in northern CA, not So Cal. On the way back to Martinez, I stopped at the Marina in Bay Point and it was 84 degrees. Same when I got home.

Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mothers.

DS called and I told him summer wasn't here so I was starting without it! ~~ Love it!!!!

Winter doesn't seem to want to end up there this year! We've had cooler temps than usual (which is a huge blessing for us) but it's getting muggier and muggier so I'm not looking for too many more cool downs. I'll put in an order for some warmer temps for you guys

The dispenser has 4 small squares of two sided tape which is supposed to hold it in place on your wall until the silicone adhesive has time to cure (about 24 hours). There are 4 holes suitable for a screw application. I chose to hang it up high in line with a "stud" the shower walls are attached to; I also used screws (and more silicone). Will check it out in a few days and let you know how it does next campout.

I guess it's (the cup holder) one of those things that you see til you're looking for one. I'll keep looking, maybe I just missed them. I don't know why it's so much more fun working in the camper. Pretty sure it will pay off soon
