How do fifth-wheelers haul their kayaks??

Just bought my first fifth wheel camper.
I'm looking at getting the factory rear rack to haul our 3 bikes.
However, i now need to figure out and find a rack to haul our 3 kayaks. I'm wondering what you guys use and where you've bought them.

I'm not familiar with your rig and don't know if it came with a rear hitch. If it didn't, the first thing I would check into is whether or not your warranty would be voided if you put a hitch on the trailer.

Sold my old hard Kayak and bought this one. I could easily carry 3 in the truck bed if I needed..

X2. We bought 2 of the same kayaks for me, my wife, and two 10 year olds. We have used them often and they work great. Very sturdy and easy to inflate and deflate and throw in the back of the truck.

Here's a link to a kayak and bike rack. Saw this at a campground the other day
and had to look it up. Looked really nice.

I had the same question and just this morning I saw and talked with a camper who put a standard kayak rack on his full length truck. This will only work if you have a 4 door long bed. He mounts the kayak somewhat forward and has not had any issues.

What length kayaks? Most people put the boats on the truck top and go forward to a front mounted goal post rack.

Random Google Images picture of what I'm trying to say:

Otherwise, US Rack makes a rack that ties into the bedrails and goes over the truck cab. Look at the specs, I think the boat has to be fairly short for this to work.

https://www.usrack.com/responsive/fi...truck-rack.php

I've long chuckled/wondered about carrying the boats on TOP of the fifth wheel. With rollers at the rear, rope, and a ground-based helper- getting them up and down wouldn't be terrible. Then it's a matter of securing them. I don't think height would be an issue if you kept them towards the rear if your fifth wheel slopes a good bit.

Otherwise... change boats, maybe?

Inflatables are typically good for replacing recreational kayaks. If you're looking at sea kayaks, maybe look at the Oru Kayaks or some of the traditional foldable boats.

Dang I saw a guy yesterday with a really cool kayak rack on the back of his 5th wheel trailer . He had the bumper beefed up and a receiver installed. Then he built a rack that held 2 kayaks upright . The rack was made from lighter gauge steel tubing . I really wish I had a picture but I was really impressed with his set up . His set was something like this but I doubt he had half the money in materials then these things cost .

I have seen some people carry their bikes on a rack in front of the truck.

If I have to choose between our bikes and our Yaks then the bikes will be left at home.

If you go with the roof rack anf J Hooks be sure they will handle the weight.
I know they will not handle the weight of my Hobie PA12 so we just stack them when we don't have the rack on my truck.

What I've done is since I have a brush guard on my truck, I've made a pipe that goes on the guard to support the front of the kayaks. I did it this way as sometime I haul a canoe and kayak, instead of 2 kayaks. The bikes go in the bed of the truck.

The exact question I have been asking hubby. I looked up the inflatable kayaks. I like them but fishing is out of the question. Also going in the Ocean area.

You can get inflatable fishing kayaks that have a little wider beam and pole holders. Some even have mounts for a electric trolling motor.
