How I increased storage
We have a 2250 le which is a great size for roaming the USA with two people. However, storage was an issue for longer trips. Solution: Put a truck box on the back bumper using u-bolts. I also put metal strips on the inside to add strength. No rattles, or issues yet! Note the label is an old tag from another state for we are Christmas vacation fans.

My rig does not carry a spare. I carry tire repair gear.

Based on previous peoples experience, you probably won't be carrying the box very long either, but I hope you have good luck.

Under the drivers side tail light where it usually is. You can see the edge of it in the picture.

Great. I see the license plate corner.
I'm sensitive to this as the Georgetown has the license plate in the center, so anything I add will block the plate. Can't even mount a spare tire.
I may have to relocate the plate.

For Halloween you could have one of those fake hands or feet hanging out of the box...

You could mount the plate on the box. Where I have czneddy you could put a plate. Just put holes in the box!
I just removed the nameplate that was on the box and used those holes.

Are there any issues mounting a box on the bumper or loading considerations?
I ask because our trailer had a factory sticker on the bumper stating anything mounted there can void the chassis warranty. Wonder if it’s just a CYA or if there are concerns. Personally, I like the idea.

There are no markings on our rig. The weight of the box and stuff inside would not damage most rv bumpers. I am not sure on a trailer. Construction is much different. My RV is built on a chevy 4500 chassis.

That Sunseeker bumper seems pretty robust and with the 2250 you have huge ccc.

I did pretty much the same mod to my trailer. I used a smaller diamond plate box, and I reinforced the bumper mounting to the frame. I store my sewer fittings in there.
