Anybody done anything to improve the lighting over the stove in a 8319SS or similar style? My wife tried the small stick up light but it gave no more than the small light already there.

Thanks in advance,

not sure if this would be a fit, but we had to replace the lights in our tent trailer last year, and the previous owner had stripped half the origional wiring and so we had to be creative. Here are two items that were great little finds . . .
1. Home depot sells a nice little mini florecent tube light about 12 inches long. They come in a plug in style or a wire in . . .
2. We bought a mountable ceiling light at Walmart that looks kinda like a double trailer light, but opperates on a couple of batteries and has a pull cord which we shortened. You can light just one side or both, and the unit even swivels. It costed somewhere between $10-$20 and gave a lot of light. It is about 4x8 inches in size. One set of batteries lasted the whole season. You will find this light in the area of walmart where the lightbulbs and nightlights etc. (hardware dept?) are kept.
Not sure if either of these is an answer, but they worked for us . . . good luck.

The light above the stove in our 5th is so dim you almost can't tell it's on. Is this normal or is there something wrong with mine? There is good lighting from other sources so we just don't use it.

Lights over stove

thanks, I appreciate the ideas. I'll have to check out the light at WalMart.

Yep, there's nothing wrong with it. Ours is just like that - totally usless (other than a night light maybe.

If I want decent light over my stove, I turn BOTH the stove AND sink lights. I've been thinking of replacing the sink light with double adjustable reading lights so I can aim them like Task lights.

I'll leave my range light as is. It makes a great night light for the grandkids.
