There are no ceiling ducts or styrofoam. As a matter of fact, all the openings that were blocked off by the PO have fiberglass insulation in them....but not enough of it to prevent the cool air from going into the voids.

I did a quick run through it, and one of the pics makes it look like the opening in the ceiling was supposed to have been boxed in, but it isn't. Also, item #4 at the bottom of page 5 says:

Doesn't look completely boxed in, to me. That nice, warm roof cavity air was getting right in! The factory workmanship sux!!

While I was working on the camper (Sunday), a guy stopped by. He introduced himself, and explained that he sees me out there working on this thing for months, now.
He told me that he has a Winnebago MH that he bought brand new in 2004.
A year later, a water leak developed at the front window. He took it back to the dealership to be repaired. Apparently, they didn't do a good job.
He noticed some waviness of the sidewalls and decided to tear into it, a bit. He peeled back some of the sidewall, and had soaking wet wood.
After letting it dry out for a month, it was still dripping wet.
So, he's afraid to tell the dealership, fearing that they will not honor it, because he "opened it up". On the other hand it was also repaired a long time ago.
His DW suggested selling it, as is. But, because he feels that he will get pennies on the dollar for it if he sells it, he's thinking about attempting to fix it.
He's never attempted anything like this before.

I'll help with advice, based only on my own experiences.
But... I'll say it now... after this project is finished,I will never do any type of structural repairs on a camper, ever again.

I couldn't imagine having to do repair work, even a portion of what I'm doing to ours, on a new or several year-old RV.
Hey...mine is almost 20 years old, and wasn't maintained as it should have been. I bought it cheap. So...I decided to repair it. But...I could have scrapped it, and cut my losses very easily.
BUT...to spend a decent amount of money ( a LOT of money in some cases) and to need major repairs soon after purchasing, is unacceptable.
If one RV in a thousand is bad...I get it. Like a car that is a lemon. But to the extent that I've read about on this forum is insane!
The RV industry, and the way they just "bang them out", and with the popularity of RV's must be VERY lucrative!
These RV's are beautiful on the surface, but beneath that surface, there's a lot of "hack-work" in there.
It's a shame...

A little progress....
I cleaned up the old vent louver to re-install...
Butyl tape...
Cleaned up the old goo...
Installed, and sealed with Geocel clear sealant...
...more to come...

The cable cover is going to be replaced, so I took off the old crappy end to install a new end...
New one...
Installed and sealed...

I also decided to tackle a task that I was dreading...removing the dried-on tape glue. This was from when I had to tape plastic sheeting over the camper at the end of every workday.
No more plastic needed, thankfully.
The glue...
and off....
I also cleaned the old goop off of other areas, too...like where the new fender flare will go, and the opening of the water heater access panel...
Much better...
These little bug screens were installed...
I also sealed up the rear window, which only had the new butyl tape as a barrier. It now has a second layer of protection...clear Geocel sealant.
So...it was a bunch of little stuff, but it all adds up!!

All the little things add up. You're getting there and we cheer you on. I did some of these very same item replacements recently. The stove vent has a flapper that doesn't like to be open when you're going 60mph. Brand new assembly - lost the flapper the other day. Readily available online, new one is on my desk, waiting for replacement again.

JJaxon...I didn't notice a flapper on the stove vent..  ..should there be one, that I might have "lost"??
Does it flap (shut) so that wind doesn't blow into the camper??

Yes the flap is retained by two swing handles which over lap the door in motion. Otherwise the first 53 foot trailer will Vacuum it right off. You might get pressure, but you'll always have negative pressure. If you're door wasn't secured it's long gone.

On post #208, pic 5, you can see the open end of the duct. Does the flap attach there?
If so, and if it got disconnected at some point in time, it would have to have dropped down behind the exterior sheet metal. I'm surprised that I didn't see it when I had that side peeled back....

Yes the vent termination comes complete with flap, the two dogs and enough duct to reach inside the coach. The inside "back wall" is wide enough to accommodate the flap with overlap and the locking dogs. No gasket, is used. The assembly inserts through the wall, set in sealant and typically secured with SS screws. Easy to find new, the white plastic deteriorates quickly.
