Installation of the Progressive Industries EMS

First off I want to say thank you to Turbs (Ron) for answering my questions over the past few days! He was a real big help in this install.
1-Found a place to put it.
2-Hooked up the wires.
3-I added some extra tape around the wires for wire stress relief. Don't know if it was really needed, but I did it anyway.
4-All ready to go.
5-Final continuity check
6-Secured the unit
7-I taped the error code list on the inside of the cover for the fuses
8-Good to go!!
I am very pleased with the way things turned out.

Good idea of placement of the error code list. I think I will do the same.

I never thought of wiring it in with the plug and recepticle. What a great idea. If the unit goes bad all you need to do is remove it and connect the other ends. Wish I had seen this before I hardwired mine in. I just might have to go back and do the same thing. Could really save me sometime when I'm on the road.

Great idea, I will do the same to mine. But maybe a silly question? Am I right to ASSUME that I am installing it into the show line power cord where it goes into the electric system? That way I get the benefit if plugged into shore power or if plugged into the generator, correct?

I can not imagine trying to figure all these things out without the benefit of all you experts. I never knew these things existed and then realized I could not live without it, just like the pole set from OC.

Yes you need to put ems into the incoming line before distribution center.

Also if you ever use a generator you need to install a neutral bonded plug or the ems will fualt out.

That would not apply to plugging into my on board generator correct? I was told to plug the shore power cord into the generator receptacle to power the coach with the inboard generator.

What a great idea on the plugs. Would be an easy fix if the surge protector dies!
