Smile Installing a roof ladder on a wildwood tt

Has anyone installed a roof ladder to a 2015 FR Wildwood T26TBSS or similar model? Mine did not come with one and i need to have one put on. I am figuring i would have to do that myself. Anything would help. thanks!

just a thought,........if your TT doesn't have a slideout awning, I would mount the ladder on that side to make it easy to check for stuff that may have fallen onto the slideout and that needs to be cleaned off before bringing in the slideout,......our new Micro Lite 25KS didn't have the slideout awning and the dealer didn't have the correct material to add it at that time, so he added the ladder instead so it would be easy to check for junk up there,.......BUT, the installer mounted it on the wrong side, ...so I do have the ladder, but I have to climb all the way onto the roof and walk over to the slideout to inspect for junk, ....not as easy as it was intended to be,...

the slideout awning cover is the next mod on my "to do" list

There's a good chance it doesn't have the backing necessary for mounting to if it didn't come from the factory with one. If that's the case it would be very cost prohibitive to have one installed.

a ladder is just like an electric tongue jack, aluminum rims, or an upgraded air conditioner, its an accessory that is not absolutely necessary but desired by some customers.......some dealers add them when ordering their stock in hopes that these items will help make a sale and some dealers don't so they can keep their prices lower, hoping that will help make the sale........just because it didn't come with one from the factory, is no indication it can't accommodate one.......the factory can tell you if there's a preferred side that it should be mounted on.......below are three links to an aftermarket ladder, the Stromberg Carlson LA-401 Universal RV Ladder, it appears to be the same model our dealer installed on our Micro Lite 25KS,....a ladder is a handy accessory to have.......

The second Warning statement may also apply to your RV.

I have the same warning in my 2013 26tbss, but also possess the sales brochure that says all wildwood have a full walk on roof.

I wanted a rear ladder on our 28DBUD. No go. Factory says it is not blocked for the weight. You should contact the manufacturer.

This was the reason I purchased my TT. It came with a ladder and documentation shows workers on top and they advertise the usage of the ladder being used for top maintenance. Very strong top.

Do you have a picture showing the ladder on you 25KS? My 2012 25KS did not have a ladder installed.

this is it, dealer installed,.....installed on wrong side from what I asked for, their installer didn't get the message as to what side, their compensation for the mistake was very fair,.....very good people to deal with

The manual says check roof 2 to 4 times a year, then no ladder option on mine. Seems liability problem to not make ladder standard.
