Installing a water drinking faucet
Has anyone installed an additional drinking water faucet for the additional water filters when connected up to an rv park. Is it really needed. Or is the water filter in my 2016 Rockwood good enough to filter out any pathogens.

I didn't trust my filter and bought/carried drinking water. We are very particular about taste of water.
When we went fulltiming, I was buying a good 12-15 gallons a week. We finally bought a Berkley water filter.
SO- yes, if it were my camper- I would get a filter specially for drinking water. But, others might not be as picky as me. Or may camp in places with good water.

Ya I'm about to be living every weekday for atleast a year in my TT. And I do love my filtered water in my house. I appreciate having ur experience as it helped to convince me to do so. I couldn't find anything on people actually having one in their RVs online

Just search here for external water filters and you should find lots of results.
Here's one example.

Well I have a water filter next to my water pump. But I'm wanting to put this dual stage water filter under the sink for purpose of drinking water.

I see what your saying. Typically most people like to keep their water filters external. It serves the same purpose in that it filters your water but if there is ever a leak, it won't flood your trailer.
Just my 2¢.

We also buy water, but I'm also pretty paranoid about drinking water. #1 I have traveled extensively in the African bush, Eastern Europe, etc., and NEVER trust water I didn't process. #2 I've seen some pretty nasty water come out of park spigots! Anybody know of an RV sized RO unit?

Know that feeling on my deployments I've gotten dysentery from drinking out of the afghan wells. So I like know there are a magnitude of filters doing their job before It gets to me.

We carry/buy all of our cooking/drinking water.
Trailer sits empty to much and to long to chance it.

X2 but also an external filter before the hose. Most filters are not designed to filter micro biologic anything.

I guess the parks I hook up at all have great water. Haven't run into the bad parks I guess. Been to Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, New Mexico, Arizona, but most of my Travel Trail experience has been in California. I removed the under sink filters after six months and haven't had any need of them in the ten plus years of camping.
I do have a Brita I use for my guests and coffee. Most people seem to be hooked on the bottle so they just carry one with them when visiting.

We have an outside filter that hooks up to the hose (removed the one inside the trailer to prevent leaks), but we carry our Berkey water filtration unit with us whenever we travel just to ensure we always have clean, good tasting water to drink, make coffee and cook with.
