installing battery box on travel trailer

I got a new trailer a few weeks back and purchased a group 27 marine battery and a large battery box from Walmart. The battery tray on my camper is about 2" to short (side to side). Any advice esp with pics would be appreciated. The box came with the 3" x 1/2" plastic straps that seems a little weak even if it did fit.

Thanks

Being that you have a travel trailer you could re run the main cable to the front of the camper. You can put the battery on the tongue. That is where mine is.

Sorry should have been more clear. The battery "tray" (angled iron) is part of the a frame b/w the propane and trailer. The box is about 2" too wide to sit down in it. I am looking for a way to make it work and mount securely.

Same thing as my TT. I would say one of two things. Either have someone relocate one of the angle iron . Or leave it sit on top. Luckly my dad has a way to chop and reweld it back on. So I would say a find a very nice person to do it .
