Installing satellite dish to a 2011 sunseeker 3120ds

Can a direct tv slimline dish be installed on sunseeker that has no dish now? How difficult? Should I let camping world do it?

That's a big antenna to be mounted ON a Sunseeker. I fabricated a stand for mine so I can move it around my campsite so as not to be blocked by trees, etc.

If you go with a ground level dish (maybe a tailgater) you can use the park coax cable line input in your rear bay and use that line to feed the directv box in the coach. We have a king dome auto lock dish on our sunseeker roof and I keep my directv box in the cabinet over the coach door. We use that same line to push the signal out to an outdoor tv. This line is found on the back of the antenna switch.

I mounted a satellite antenna on the roof of the 5th wheel we had before buying Rocky. That darn thing could always find a tree branch that blocked the signal! Many times we had to move the trailer a foot or two to get a clear signal. If I ever did it again, I'd stick with a portable dish that can be moved to find a clear view of the SW sky.

Park in the shade not good for mounted dish. Get something you can move wherever you want it.

I made a satellite antenna base with $11 of PVC, $3 of bolts/nuts and a scrap of board from a volunteer building project. It won't win any awards but it's portable and entirely functional.

If it works don’t knock it. You can get the dish from direct for free and make up a Mickey Mouse base for 12 bucks. It is a heck of a lot cheaper than going to camping world. I made the mistake of putting a roof mount on my 5th wheel and run into the same problems of finding a clear spot, so I end up using a portable antenna about 50 percent of the time.
