Are you wanting remote Internet access when on the road or are you a full timer parked more than traveling?

All major cell phone companies offer data plans via a WIFI hot spot thru most smart phones or an external module such as Verizon's jet pack. In Florida there is a company named clear that offers 4g data over a WIFI hot spot also using a external adapter. So depending on where you live I'm sure one of these solutions should help.

Most wireless carriers now offer mobile hot spots. It's a small card that works similar to a cell phone and sends a Bluetooth or wifi signal to the devices of your choice. Or, depending on your phone you may be able to use the phone as a hotspot.

you can buy a very inexpensive linksys router that can be set as a wireless repeater with a switch on the back. connect your smart phone to it as a hotspot and youre done.

Our phones can be used as an Internet hotspot, so we just use the connection for our laptops.

I am looking at buying a set-up from .jefatech.com/product/RV-KIT-REPEATER/ . It looks like it would spice up the CG WIFI up to a 1/2 mile line of site. It has an outside antenna.

I bought a wifi repeater and external antenna from Radio Labs. Works great, I can pull a signal from about two miles away.

I bought the Jefa Tech last year and used it since. It claims 1/2 mile range but that could be with a clear line of sight. Throw trees in the line of site a weak wifi the distance drops. You need at least one bar from the wifi repeater to have it to work. Also if the bandwidth drops it will run slow. At Goshen this year it was so slow nothing helped much. So it does help but has it's limits depending on conditions.

Try this; download an app called foxfire. It turns your phone into a hotspot without adding any additional cost from ATT, Verizon etc.. I have the first release of samsung note and it works great. Just used it for two weeks in CO. My son however has the note 3 and it doesn't work. So try the free version first. It works great if it works. It's simple, can use password protection, can connect as a regular hotspot, bluetooth or plug your phone into the laptop. There is a version for iphone also.

Another solution that works better than an ipad is a chrome book with wifi capability. My wife has the HP Chrome box with verizon built in. You can activate it by the month for about 30 dollars. Same as the ipad but you have a keyboard, mouse etc....The entire suit of google apps, email, drive etc.. is built in. It also has it's own online version of a spreadsheet and word processor but I haven't tried that.

My Ram has a system called Uconnect built into the truck which you can activate for $10/ day or $30 / month approximately. It makes your truck a hot spot.

Oh, one other thing, We stayed at a state park in CO called Chatfield, which is closer to Denver. They had free Wifi in the campgrounds. First time I've seen that but worth asking about.

Elind i second the poor WIFI at Goshen. I wondered who had Jefa Tech running . I actually bought a Verizon hotspot for US travel, a lot cheaper that using a Canadian plan which is $50 bucks for 200 meg and US Verizon was $90 for 10 gb.
There network at Goshen is just a bunch of wifi repeaters all over the place, the pipe supplying data is pretty small.

Millenicom also has a hotspot program that is very cheap for 20GB of data a month. $90.
Probably makes most sense for full timers given the setup costs each time you stop & start. As I recall they buy their bandwidth from Verizon and reports were positive from a lot of folks. This was a few months ago and things change so do a little current review research before investing.

Edit: Found a pretty comprehensive and recent review for you reading pleasure: http://www.rvmobileinternet.com/reso...enicomverizon/

I just used the hotspot on my Wind phone. Since it roams on AT&T or T-Mobile I had lots of coverage. Their coverage in Canada might suck but I can't beat the price, 39 a month, unlimited talk, text and data throughout Canada (where they have coverage) and the US.

Checked my usage when I got back and confirmed there was zero roaming charges. It's hard to believe but it really is unlimited.

That was my system running but it wasn't that great. No bandwidth. Clocked it at 102kbs. That was twice a dialup speed and that was at 3am.
