inverter install

I have a 2014 Wildcat 317RL. I would like to install an invertor to control the plug for the entertainment center and the outlets on the wall by the couch. These outlets are on the same circuit as the GFCI in the bathroom and an outlet on the end of the peninsula in the kitchen. What would be the safest setup and the most economical setup. I don't need alot of watts just enough to run the tv and the pump for the air mattress in the couch.

i just hardwired my inverter to the batteries and mounted it on the side of the cabinet, where the tv hookups were, since all i wanted it for was tv, dvd and charging electronic devices.

no need to go to all the trouble of a more complicated install.

If you Google love your(might be ur) rv, this guy did a good video / blog post of an inverter install in his 5er using an inside plug and a 1000 watt inverter.

Mount the inverter as close as possible to your batteries, using large gauge cables. Then run a standard 120v cord from the inverter to your entertainment center. If you want, you can terminate that cord into a 120v receptacle.

I simply plug my 2000w inverter into the TT's 30a outside shore side input, so that all my inside 120v receptacles are powered.

I would like to hook the inverter to the breaker that runs the entertainment center, living room area and kitchen and have that switch between shore power and inverter via a switch near the breaker panel. I have heard of people running this through a hot/off/hot switch and wonder how well this would work. I don't need help wiring, I am looking to not reinvent the wheel.

Thanks

I would like to do the same as this and have a couple of questions.

i assume this is just a regular run of the mill inverter?

You hooked directly to the batteries and not onto the power bar controlled by the battery master switch for the trailer? There is a light to remind you to turn off?

Did you install an inline fuse between it and the battery or does the inverter have a breaker?

Interesting- I didn't think of it that way.
